Research Interests
The goal of my research is to develop methods and tools to enable computational Earth Science experimentation on service-oriented Grids. This involves utilizing web services, web service composition and orchestration tools, scalable and extensible software development methods, and computer system performance analysis techniques to develop a high-performance, scalable, and extensible service-oriented infrastructure. While I have targeted supporting the Earth Science community in the majority of my work, I beleive the tools and technqiues I am developing are applicable to other disciplines. My research interests include:
- Grid computing
- Urgent computing
- Networks and storage for high-performance computing
- Meta-scheduling, co-scheduling, and resource provisioning in high-performance and Grid computing environments
- Service-oriented architectures
- Distributed systems analysis and design
- Computer system performance analysis and prediction
